Can I open an account if I’m not from the EU?

Yes, we support customers from 120+ countries, the full list is here. Our tool  is available to help you understand our capabilities for your case.

I have a residence permit, will it work?

Yes, the residence permit works for us, your nationality can be any as long as the residence permit is in the accepted countries list.

Can I receive salary payments to the account?

Yes, we support any third party payments to your account, you can receive and send funds from and to both businesses and individuals.

How long does it take to have a fully operational account?

It takes about an hour to provide you with IBAN & Card.  Crypto is available within minutes.

What documents do I have to provide to get an account?

We ask you for basics: passport, live verification. However, additional documents such as proof of address or source of funds can be asked.

Do you accept cash payments?

No, your account is a digital one, however, using the Keytom card you will  be able to withdraw cash in any ATM in the world*.

Will the account be under my name?

Yes, the account holder is you - so the Keytom account is under your name.

What if I face any difficulties - can you help me?

We have 24/7 operational customer support which will answer any of your questions and will solve the issues.

What crypto currencies can I have?

We provide access to 10+ crypto currencies, which include the standard ones:  ETH, BTC, USDC and more exotic: XRP, LTC, SOL.

For the exchange do I have to visit another app?

No, all the operations — including exchanges — are available in a single Keytom app. You can use it on your phone via the web version or by downloading it from  the App Store or Google Play.

What are the limits on transactions?

We have base-level limits that can be adjusted upon providing additional documents.

Do I need to provide any supporting documentation for transfers?

Yes, it can be requested from time to time.

I can exchange only EUR to crypto or are there any other options available?

You can exchange EUR to crypto, crypto to EUR and crypto to crypto at market rates. Soon, we are adding also USD capabilities to wave the boarders.

How long does the transfer take?

We are offering both SEPA and SEPA Instant capabilities. The chosen method depends on different factors, but for SEPA Instant it takes a couple of hours to be processed. SEPA can take a couple of days to settle.

What are the fees?

What are the countries of IBANs?

At the moment the primary IBAN country is the UK.

How am I topping up the card?

You can load your account with USDC or exchange your Euro to USDC to top up your card account. As long as you have USDC you have the capabilities to use the card.

Is the card virtual or physical?

At the moment the card is virtual, however you can use Apple Pay / Google Pay for offline and online purchases.

Where can I use the card?

You can pay with the card for hotels, cars, groceries, and restaurants almost everywhere in the world. For your convenience the list of accepted countries and types of merchants is here.

Can I open the card without opening a Euro account?

Yes, you can! You can decide whether to open a Euro IBAN or not.

How can I manage the card operations?

All the operations related to Keytom products (crypto, IBANs, cards) are managed within one Keytom app.

Is the card debit or credit?

The card BIN is credit, meaning that upon reaching the needed limits profile you will be able to use your Keytom card for rental services (for example cars). But it does not mean that you can take loans using the Keytom card.

Are you licensed?

Yes: Cryptocurrency and fiat services are provided legally by Money Services Business KEYTOM SERVICES LTD and Virtual Assets Service Provider Keytom Solutions s.r.o. (hereinafter KEYTOM): KEYTOM SERVICES LTD. under the MSB FINTRAC licence (MSB reg.nr M21788474), registered at 346 Lawrence Ave #202, Office I, Kelowna, BC, Canada, V1Y 6L4 and by Keytom Solutions s.r.o. (registration number 212 34 124) with VASP authorisation in the Czech Republic, registered at Frydlantská Str., No. 1312/19, Kobylisy, ZIP code: 182 0, Prague 8.

How are my funds protected?

Client crypto assets are insured up to $100M through institutional-grade coverage provided by Fireblocks infrastructure (underwritten by Marsh and Munich Re).
Fiat funds (in EUR/USD) are fully safeguarded in segregated accounts, legally separated from company assets, in compliance with FINTRAC (Canada) and FATF requirements.
Each client is the legal owner of their funds. All accounts are registered in the client’s name in full accordance with FINTRAC’s Recordkeeping Policy and PRAA (Retail Payment Activities Act) standards.

Where are the accounts opened?

Keytom has licensed partners which provide us the banking infrastructure  and connect us directly with different banks where your accounts are opened.  It is mainly EEA (UK, Lithuania).

What industries are accepted?

We accept businesses which industry types are not related to high risk, the full list of prohibited industries is listed here.

What countries are accepted in terms of company registration and UBO nationality?

In terms of company registration we accept 120+ jurisdictions, the full list is here In terms of UBO nationality - we accept higher risk UBO nationality as long as the UBO has a residence permit in accepted jurisdiction.

What are the fees?

The fees depend on the risk profile of your company and can be viewed here.

Do you charge for account opening and if yes - when?

Yes, we charge for account opening but the fee is deducted from your account only after it is approved. We do not charge anything upfront.

How long does it take to open an account?

We take 48 business hours for each document review.

Can I receive payments from Individuals and send the payments to individuals?

Keytom account provides the possibility to accept payments and to send payments from and to both individuals and businesses. We allow third party payments flow, however we restrict nested payments.

What are the required documents to open an account?

For the company we ask: 
Incorporation documents, Articles of Association, Proof of Address, Beneficial ownership statement and Bank Statement (or other proof of funds). For each UBO holding over 20% of shares we request passport and proof of address.

Will the account be under my name?

Yes, the IBAN is under your company name.

What are the limits on transactions?

We do not set any transactional limits, however, we can request supporting documentation for any transaction.

My business is not from the EU will I still get Euro IBAN?

The Keytom mission is to waive the boarders — we want to provide our clients, no matter where they are, to operate in any country like they are locals. So yes, if your jurisdiction is accepted, we can provide you with a Euro IBAN.

What are the capabilities?

You can receive both crypto currencies and fiat currencies (Euro) from third parties both individuals and businesses. You can store the funds in your accounts, you can exchange the funds between crypto or from Euro to сrypto. You can send the funds in crypto and fiat to both individuals and businesses (third parties). You can issue virtual cards for your business.

Do I need to provide any supporting documentation for transfers?

Yes, the supporting documents can be asked at any time and the exact documentation asked depends on the transfer type and other factors.

Do you provide different types of access for the employees?

At the moment we do not have different level access for the team members of the Client’s company but it is in the process of being developed.
